Sir Elton John and Lily Allen traded barbs Tuesday night at an awards show in London.Allen and John shared the hosting duties the GQ Men of the Year Awards at the Royal Opera House, reports the London Times. As the event progressed, Allen, who had been sipping champagne on stage all night, became visibly tipsy.
Eventually, Allen began an introduction, informing the audience that they had reached a "special point in the evening", to which John replied: "What, you are going to have another drink?"
In front of celebrities such as Gordon Ramsey and London mayor Boris Johnson, Allen shot back, "F--- off Elton, I'm 40 years younger than you. I have my whole life ahead of me," reports People magazine. Sir Elton, 61, replied "I could still snort you under the table."
The show continued with poor ad libs from the young star, who introduced 81-year-old Tony Bennett by saying: "I'll still f--- him."
